Kitchener, ON – May 28, 2013 – Miovision, a leading innovator and provider of intelligent traffic data management solutions, announced three new members of the Executive Team: Vice President of Marketing, Steve Currie; Vice President of Sales, Raymond Phillips; and Vice President of Engineering, Douglas Swanson. These new hires will be joining Miovision’s Executive Team to fulfill strategic initiatives that aim to grow the company further.

Steve Currie joined the Miovision team in May and comes with a proven background in product management and marketing. With over 20 years experience in technology and marketing, Steve has worked for small start-ups, mid-size organizations and large multinationals such as Open Text and Reynolds & Reynolds. His role will include developing marketing strategy, product management and brand management in order to penetrate the market and increase awareness of Miovision’s solutions.

Raymond Phillips took on the role of Vice President of Sales at Miovision in April. He brings over 12 years of sales management experience within the technology sector. In this role, Raymond will define the key initiatives and processes for sales in order to increase competitiveness, drive growth in existing markets and pursue new business development.

Joining Miovision in April, Douglas Swanson brings over 20 years of  engineering development experience in hardware, software and systems design. His previous experience includes top tech companies such as Nortel, Cisco and Blackberry. As the Vice President of Engineering, Douglas is responsible for product development strategy, execution and quality. Doug will drive innovative technologies, manage and plan product life cycles and continuously improve quality standards.

Expanding the Executive Team is part of Miovision’s strategic imperative to grow the company and increase competitiveness within the transportation industry. By adding these key individuals, Miovision will focus on increasing sales penetration and market awareness while providing solutions that will thrive in the market.
